Première utilisation
XEMACS est un éditeur de texte puissant et gratuit, une version windows existe, qui remplace avantageusement le bloc-notes. XEMACS permet de programmer dans la plupart des langages.
XEMACS est surtout très séduisant pour les personnes qui utilisent déja emacs sous GNU/Linux en mode console car celui-ci leur permet d’utiliser les raccourcis qu’ils connaissent déja.
Téléchargement et installation
Pour le télécharger il suffit d’aller sur la page de téléchargement du site officiel.
Note : la version windows s’installe via un Net-installer.
Première utilisation
La première chose qui surprend c’est que la création d’un nouveau fichier se fait en ouvrant un fichier avec le nom que l’on veut donner à ce fichier. Ensuite se n’est pas très différent des autres éditeurs de texte à part les raccourcis clavier qui sont ceux de EMACS.
