BitTorent est un programme de P2P destiné à alléger la charge de votre serveur de download son principe est de diffuser un fichier
BitTorrent est écrit en python ce qui permet de l’utiliser sur de nombreuse plate-forme. Des EXE sont disponible pour Windows.
Si vous utilisez la version source il vous faudra peut-être installer Python et WxPython (pour l’interface graphique).
Comment sa marche ?
Le serveur génère un fichier .torrent que les clients vont télécharger. Chaque client doit posséder le programme client disponible sur le site officiel.Utilisation du client
Le client commence par télécharger sur le serveur nom_du_fichier.torrent, ensuite en double cliquant sur le fichier Bittorent va démarrer et vous demander où vous désirer sauvegarder le fichier. Pour reprendre un téléchargement il suffit de relancer le .torrent.
Création d’un serveur
Le serveur est appelé tracker. Il vous faudra utiliser la version source pour générer le .torrent et lancer le tracker.
Pour lancer le serveur tapez :
dstate est fichier qui va garder toute les informations de votre serveur entre chaque lancement.
Normalement vous devriez pouvoir vous connecter avec votre navigateur web à l’adresse http://votre_ip:6969 et obtenir le statut de votre tracker.
Génération d’un .torrent
Pour générer un .torrent utiliser la commande :
L’adresse est celle de votre tracker, announce est codé en dur dans BitTorrent et doit obligatoirement être ajouté. Il ne vous reste plus qu’a mettre le .torrent ainsi généré en téléchargement sur votre site web.
Comment uploader un fichier déjà complet,
Pour uploader un fichier qui est déjà complet sur votre disque dur il suffit de relancer BitTorent en lui disant de récrire sur le fichier déjà complet.
